You're being very unfair to the arcade game, which was a fun, if standard, fighting game (except it went up instead of sideways). And I gave them credit for making it two-player by incorporating Superman Red/Superman Blue.
I played the Atari game a few times back in the day. I borrowed it from my brother, who unfortunately brought it to my house without the instructions. I remember flying around for a few hours doing... nothing really, except capture some criminals. To this day I still don't know what the object of the game was.
That last one looked kinda cool. And I liked the Toyman boss in the NES or SNES or whatever game.
