IMPORTANT FUNDRAISER UPDATE!

I'm sending a reminder around to all the participating artists that the auctions go live in 2 weeks, and to request a scan of the work be made available to me by May first for listing on the third.

Scans can be sent to sayitbackwards@gmail.com

Also, could you please pass this along to any folks you've recruited.

And once again, thank you all.

If you have not heard from me, it is because I'm lame and overwhelmed just a little bit. Please try to get in touch with me again about anything you would like to do to help.

I've got a pile of your flyers sitting in Midtown Comics in Manhattan. ;) Doubt anyone will pick them up, but who knows. *crosses fingers*

Is anyone going to be distributing them at NYCC? I'm tempted to take some with me...

Really? That's awesome! Thanks so much! And there will be some at a few tables, but no one walking around handing them out. I can get you in touch with some one to give you some to hand out as you wander around if you like.

I downloaded the flyers, but I can't get away with printing more than a dozen or so at a time here at work. :p I could make some at Kinko's or Staples. But if someone else has already printed up a buttload, sure, I could take some. Aaaaaand I'm gonna be wearing a really attention-grabbing SuperLois costume from All-Star Superman on Saturday, lol, so I suppose I'd make an eyecatching flyer-distributor. ;D Would I get in trouble with the con staff for soliciting flyers for something they don't know about, though? It's one thing if certain tables got permission, but I'm just a random person handing them out to everyone.

This is indeed the case.

Marry me.

You know, this really is something I should ask about. I'll drop the organizers an email tonight.

I'll be there in Artist's Alley with a big stack of fliers or distribution!

And who wouldn't want to be visited by SuperLois? Fly by and say hi!

I'll have to look out for you then. ;D I'm sorry to say I have no idea what you look like, lol, but I'll be watching for what tables have the flyers.

LOLOLOL, Thomas. That's a first. I must decline, though; there's a better geek chick out there for you somewhere. ;p (I'll make sure to torture you with pictures, though.)

I just don't know what the con's policy on charity flyers would be. If it was a fan con I don't think they'd care, but since this is an industry con there's no telling how nitpicky they are. Emailing them is a good idea, though I don't know if they'll get back to you in time. But I'd be surprised if they told you no. Midtown Comics was totally ok with it as long as it was comic-related and postcard-sized (because nothing fits on their walls, lol).

Feel free to email me with details on obtaining flyers or anything else at pariah925@yahoo.com.
